Welcome to the AFI Fest 2012! 6 gala premieres in 8 days. Hitchcock premiered last Thursday (Nov. 1), then Life of Pi on Friday, and then On The Road yesterday. I went to the Hitchcock premiere and I got disappointed for not seeing any of their big stars. Anthony Hopkins and the other stars were apparently filming that day while Jessica Biel was on honeymoon. Good for them but what a waste of my time! I wish I was the one she’s on honeymoon with instead haha. I was wondering if any of the stars would show up for this one. I already got the idea that this festival is not taken as seriously by the actors compared to other gala premieres. It’s still nice to be optimistic though. Looking forward to seeing Kristen Stewart! As we all know, The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 2 is premiering in a couple of days and there’s no hotter names in Hollywood than these Twilight peeps right now. People from all over the world are now on their way to LA to witness the ensemble hit the red carpet in this one momentous occasion for the very last time. Due to previous commitments, I will not be around for that one so to all of you campers, have fun and enjoy the premiere!
I also really wanted to see Viggo Mortensen as I am a big fan of The Lord of The Rings. He was a no show though, as well as Sam Riley and Kirsten Dunst. But I’ll tell you who’s there, the star of the film, Garrett Hedlund!
Let’s see who else. Oh, Amy Adams!
And last one. Whew. I’m just so glad she came! I might miss the Breaking Dawn Part 2 premiere but at least I won’t be missing all of it for here right in front of my very eyes (or camera lens) is Kristen Stewart!!!
That car above that partially blocks the shot, by the way, is an Audi. The official sponsor of the AFI Fest 2012. It will soon be mine. Mwahaha.
For those of you who want to see celebrity arrivals during the AFI Fest, here’s the schedule for the remaining films:
Nov. 4- Rise of The Guardians (Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman, Isla Fisher, Jude Law, et al)
Nov. 5- Rust & Bone (directed by Jacques Audiard starring Marion Cotillard, et al)
Nov. 8- Lincoln (directed by Steven Spielberg starring- Daniel Day-Lewis, Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, et al)
Interesting. I watched this when I was a kid! Though we won’t be seeing Mr. Schwarzenegger today folks, instead we got three big ones, Colin Farrell, Kate Beckinsale, and Jessica Biel.
Remakes always draw comparison to the original no matter how producers try to avoid it, I still haven’t watched this so I can’t say much just yet. For now, let’s compare the trailers…
1990 TRAILER WITH ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER
2012 TRAILER WITH COLLIN FARRELL
I kinda choose the original over the remake (as in most of the time) and I’m an Arnold fan so I’ve made my decision, a biased one haha. What’s yours? The new one’s still pretty cool though.
Alright let’s get started. Smile guys, you’re on camera!
You’re gonna be on TV tomorrow!
The celebs aren’t here yet. Let’s spot some interesting stuff. Let me see what my camera finds… aah that’s a nice one…
It’s a Stormtrooper! Wait, what? What is this, Star Wars? I see three of these guys here. Maybe the soldiers on this film look like them.
Let’s look for something more…
Yeah. That fits better. Colin Farrell’s picture ready to be signed. That guy holding it is probably gonna sell it later haha.
Here we go, celebrity arrivals…
Wave to fans, sign autographs, then go straight to the press for the interviews…
John Cho is here! He’s very well known from the Harold and Kumar films but if you remember, he’s also from American Pie, one half of the guys who introduced us to the term, “MILF”!!! MILF! MILF! MILF! And like the rest of the cast, he’s back for American Reunion. Today he’s here for Total Recall of course, but I just feel like shouting “MILF! MILF! MILF!!!”
I’ve seen John before but I didn’t get a good shot, now here’s my chance! Here he is being interviewed by Renee Bargh of Extra!
Bryan Cranston also stops by. He’s most well known for his roles is Malcolm in the Middle and Breaking Bad.
Here comes the beautiful Kate Beckinsale being escorted by husband and executive producer/director of the film, Len Wiseman.
By the way, I just watched Much Ado About Nothing a couple of days ago. She’s so cute there! And I didn’t realize she was Hero until after I saw the film credits. Okay back to present time… she looks so lovely in that beautiful long gown!
And for all you folks, this is how you take a celebrity photo with style!
Another beautiful lady has arrived, no other than Jessica Biel…
I’m not very much into fashion but that gown just looks a bit weird from behind. What do you think?
Is that the one Justin Timberlake gave her? I wish I could get a close up shot of her ring.
Let’s have some more of Kate…
Wait a minute, I can sense an overflowing of coolness in the house… could that be… Aaaah!!! It’s the Godfather of Heavy Metal, Ozzy Osbourne!!!
Wow I didn’t expect that. That’s what I love about movie premieres, there are always surprises. It’s actually a family night out, according to this:
Sometimes I feel like I should really make a Twitter account already.
And now the man of the hour, Colin Farrell!
*Mwah* to everyone!!!
WAVE!!!
I really hope this movie turns out to be great. I’m highly skeptical, but I hope for the best. Anyways, tonight I’m just happy seeing the stars of the film, especially the gorgeous Kate Beckinsale. I love you Kate! And Jessica Biel as well. I love you too Jessica!
That’s it for tonight folks. But before I go, let’s have one more of Jessica Biel…
Oh she’s busy reading, let’s not disturb her haha. Goodnight and see you guys again soon on the next Red Carpet Premiere!
